After we have kids, our bodies are just different. They’ve become everything for someone else, a source of nourishment, a safe place, a home.
Now it’s time to come back to ourselves for restoration, alongside other moms who just get it.
With a warm-up and cool-down created specifically for mothers, so you can be fully present and strengthen your core and pelvic floor safely, you’ll leave feeling empowered and reconnected with the woman you are beneath it all.

Hi! I’m Nikita, a 30-something mom of two, lifelong dancer, and educator. I’ve been dancing for over 25 years and teaching for most of my adult life, working at the intersection of movement, mindset, and self-belief.
By day, I’m a special education teacher. By passion, I’m a certified pre- and post-natal fitness instructor, certified heels instructor, and lifelong student and teacher of hip hop, helping people reconnect with their bodies in ways that feel strong, safe, and empowering.
Like A Mother is for women who want to feel more at home in themselves: to rebuild real confidence after having kids, take up space without apology, and step into your own light. If you’re ready to go from surviving motherhood to thriving in it, you’re in the right place.

Absolutely. These classes are beginner-friendly, inclusive, and not intimidating, designed especially for women who haven’t danced in years, or ever. The movement is thoughtfully planned to support postpartum core and pelvic floor strengthening, and to meet you where you are in your journey.
I know how hard it is to carve out time for yourself. I commit to starting and ending on time, always coming prepared, and making sure the time you spend in this community is meaningful.
Unfortunately, we have no childcare options at this time. Classes take place in a busy dance studio, and there’s nowhere for little ones to wait while your class runs. We ask that you arrange childcare outside the studio so you can be fully present and take this time for yourself.
Yes, we offer flexible pricing. I believe every mother deserves the chance to make time for herself and be part of the village, and never want finances to be the reason someone doesn’t join us.

Like A Mother classes and workshops were designed with moms in mind, language is directed at mothers and the demands of parenthood. That said, we’re an inclusive company, and the more the merrier.
This might also be for you if you’re recovering from abdominal surgery or need pelvic floor support, and would benefit from a slower-paced, core-restorative class.
